The Nature.com Core Ontology is a formal model providing definitions for the key concepts used by Nature Publishing Group for content publishing.

The ontology includes both entities normally associated with the publishing domain (e.g. articles, journals, publishers), as well as more abstract concepts (e.g. agents, events) that group together other, more specialized, domain entities.

Update: This model has been merged with the SciGraph ontology.
